An AI Chat Interview Expierene

I just completed an AI chat interview, and it was an interesting experience. From my side—the candidate—it went well enough. The interview asked questions that were relevant to the role and, seemingly, tailored to my profile. It didn’t make any obvious mistakes.

Overall, it felt effective, but also oddly unnecessary. It gathered basic answers on fairly basic topics and tried to follow up on my line of thought, which made it slightly more engaging than a simple HTML form.

I’m sure the technology will evolve, and this may be a necessary stepping stone. At this stage, though, it feels too simplistic to be a real value add. Still, it will be interesting to see how the concepts—and the technology—develop from here.
